The Webb Schools of California were established in Claremont in 1922 by Thompson Webb, whose father founded the progressive Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Originally a boys-only institution, the Webb Schools became co-educational in 1981 with the founding of the Vivian Webb School for girls. Sited on the slopes of the scenic foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Webb Schools have a design tradition rooted in the Arts & Crafts movement. The buildings are simple and beautifully detailed.
Page & Turnbull has shared a positive relationship with the school since 2006, assisting on multiple projects.
